Have you ever heard of 'mind map' ?
Sorry to say, I've never heard of it.
koharu drew her own mind map of her summer vacation.



koharu's mother is good at needlework.
koharu is now learning how to make small articles.
Yesterday she made a white Teddy bear.



koharu's flowers make us all happy.

happy days in Niigata

Last Thursday, after having harmonica lessons in the morning,
I hurried to Tokyo Station and took the 3:12 Joetsu Shinkansen.

When I arrived in Niigata, the sun was still shining.
I bought a lot of food and hurried to my home.

What shall I do? The lock is jammed!
Anyhow I managed to open a lock with my key.
I came into the house, opened all the windows
and let fresh air in.

The next day I did the house cleaning.
I was dead tired.

My daughter and koharu came to Niigata after an interval
of several years.
We took a local train and visited my husband's graveyard.
How happy my husband was to see our daughter and granddaughter!

koharu was excited to take a local train--a box seat train.
koharu was excited to see green rice fields.
koharu was excited to walk in the pinewoods behind my house.
koharu was excited to swim in the sea.

koharu said, "Oh, I love Niigata!"
koharu said, "I would like to live in this house in future."

I enjoyed busy and happy days in Niigata.

from Ginza to Barcelona

Yesterday Mrs. M and I had a delicious lunch
at a Japanese restaurant in Ginza.

We were planning to enjoy walking
along the vehicle-free Ginza street after lunch.

But it was too hot outside, so we decided to see a movie.

Oh, which movie shall we see?
We decided to see "それでも恋するバルセロナ."

We did not know anything about the movie.
"The title sounds like a romantic movie, doesn't it?" we thought.

I was attracted by the two words "love" and "Barcelona "in the title.
I was thinking---

The word "love" means that the movie will make me happy.
The word "Barcelona"will remind me of a nice day I spent there.

The movie was a comedy of romance.
I enjoyed it but it was a so-so movie, I thought.

The title is very important.
The original title is ."Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Saturday morning

It is Saturday today.

The weather has begun to clear.

I've just finished washing and cleaning my room.

Wild grasses in front of my apartment look so fine
in this hot summer heat.

I think I will practice playing the harmonica.

Then we went to Kikkoman's Komoro Winery.
I got a taste of some fruity wine.

I like to see a vineyard.
I asked a stranger to take a picture of me there.

To my surprise, they gave a small bottle of shoyu
to each of us---of course, Kikkoman-Shoyu!

Many events were scheduled for the mystery tour.
So I had a very busy and pleasant day.

I enjoyed man-watching.
I enjoyed talking with people whom I met for the first time.
I enjoyed beautiful mountain scenery.





On the way back we enjoyed picking and eating blueberries.
