Spring is approaching.

Spring weather has arrived.

We have exceptionally dry weather here in Tokyo.

I'm relieved they haven't had so much snow this year
in my hometown where my sister and her husband live.

They asked someone to remove snow from the roof of
their house only once this winter---usually a few times.

My hometown is a depopulated town.

I know it is very difficult for the elderly people
to live in the snow country.

I pray there will not snow any more in my hometown.

I do love to see the snow scenery, though.

Am I getting better?

The flu is going around.

It's my first time to be down with the flu.
It has been a week since then.

I have no fever.
I have no coughing.
I have no running nose.

But I feel languor.
I get easily tired.
I have a poor appetite.
My heart sometimes beats violently.
I feel lonely.

I hope I'll be all right
in another week.

to attend a forum on the Omotenashi-volunteers

Today I attended a forum
on the Omotenashi-volunteers
held at a hotel in Tachikawa City.

(「外国人おもてなし語学ボランティア」フォーラム)

Those who have 外国人おもてなし語学ボランティア登録証
attended the forum.

First, we had a lecture about 3 rules for speaking--

★ Enjoy making mistakes
★ Be self-confident.
★ Speak in a loud voice.

Then we practiced English conversation in small groups.

I enjoyed talking in English in my group.

After a ten minutes' break, each of five guests gave us
some advice about communicating with foreign people.

Lastly we listened to a few people's experiences
as Omotenashi-volunteers.

The forum lasted three hours.

I was quite tired.
Yes, I felt pleasantly tired.
