magical park

Last night I came back from Tokyo Disneyland.
It was a "magical park" where children and parents
could have fun together.

"This is what Walt Disney dreamed of," I thought.
Everybody in the park looked happy.
We enjoyed a very good time.

Tokyo Disneyland

Tomorrow, koharu, her mother and I are going
to Tokyo Disneyland.

Neither koharu nor I have been there yet.
It is 7 years since my daughter went there last
with koharu's brother, I hear.

We'll stay tomorrow night at one of the hotels
in The Tokyo Disney Resort.

I hope we'll have a wonderful time. koharu seems
not to be interested in Tokyo Disneyland very much.
She seems to prefer staying at home drawing pictures
of her own story.

By the way, koharu made a clay vegetable 'aka-kabu.'
She liked it very much and composed a song
of ' kabu-de-happy.'

She wrote its music in her notebook in katakana
as 'do-do-mi-ra-so.'

koharu knows sound but can't write its note.
So her mother inputted koharu's katakana musical
sound into a computer.

koharu's song 'kabu-de-happy' is a very charming song.
I do love it.

flying alone to Kyushu

koharu's brother, who became 13 years old on March 24,
went to Kyushu today by himself .

His mother took him to Haneda Airport to see him off.
His grandparents in Kyushu were to meet him at Oita Airport.

I felt a relief when I heard about his safe arrival in Kyushu
and his meeting his grandparents at Oita Airport.

Haneda is very far away from here. koharu's brother arrived
at Oita Airport before his mother came home from Haneda!

koharu and I stayed at home, drawing pictures.

Friday English Class

I've just come home from my Friday English Circle
at a community center. Six weeks have passed
since I attended Friday English Circle last.

I was shocked to find that I had forgotten even the
basic vocabulary of English. Today it was very difficult
for me to speak in English.

But I was very glad to see my American teacher and
my Japanese friends. Our teacher brought her 7-year-old
daughter to our class. What a lovely girl!
Nice to meet you, G-chan.

One of them brought me her homemade nuka-zuke pickles,
vegetable salad seasoned with vinegar miso, and boiled greens.

These vegetables were all grown by herself! She grew her
vegetables without using any agricultural chemicals.
How wonderful! Thank you so much, K-san.

I took this picture just now---in front of my apartment.

dandelion

I like this wild plant with small bright yellow flowers.

Some say they do not like dandelions because these wild
flowers are strong enough to kill other plants.

Dandelions of tamagawa-josui are trampled down
again and again. But they stand up and raise their heads
again.

I like dandelions because they are strong.

I like their white balls of seeds which are blown away
in the wind.

I wish I could fly to some unknown place with those seeds.
Am I a wanderer?
