Today we had fine weather here in Tokyo.
Good weather seemed to have brought everyone
out into a shrine on New Year's Day.
I visited a local shrine after reading New Year's
greeting cards. When I arrived there,
I was surprised to see a lot of people waiting in line.
I had waited one and a half hour before I got to
the o-saisen-bako (offertory box).
I prayed for good health and well-being of my family.
(at 9:00 a.m.---tamagawa-josui, how peaceful!)
(at 2:00 p.m.---when I was waiting)
(at 3:30 p.m.---getting cloudy)
