Yesterday I went to Tachikawa City to see a Japanese movie titled 'Semi Shigure.' This movie was based on a novel written by Fujisawa Shuhei.
Every scene in the movie reminded me of good old days of Japan--life in the country, tranquil view of the countryside, my good old days. I felt as if I were living in the Edo period. I felt like a character in the movie.
Youth, love, justice, courage, perseverance, respect for parents---these were particularly impressive in the movie. This is one of the best Japanese movies, I think.
