　延々とヒットチャート１位を続けていたあのビートルズのヘイ・ジュードを抑えトップになったのがこの曲だった。当時唄われることのなかった社会の暗部にスポットを当てた話題の曲でもあった。メンバー脱退を経たこの頃からダイアナ・ロスという名前がグループ名の前につくようになった。当時ラジオでよく聴いた記憶があります。

　かって愛子様が生まれたときに"Japan goes "Love Child" crazy" という見出しがあったそうだが、これはちょっとヤバかったですね。
