one-day bus tour in Tokyo and Yokohama (1)

The day before yesterday was a beautiful day
for spending outside.

I joined a one-day bus tour in Tokyo and Yokohama
with one of my neighbors K-san.

Tokyo and Yokohama are big cities but I know little
of their famous spots.

It was a very good chance for me to visit them.

We visited Odaiba first, strolled along Tokyo Bay
and had lunch at a restaurant named OCEAN Dining
in Hotel Nikko Tokyo viewing the sea and Rainbow Bridge.

K-san was born and brought up in Tokyo.
She knew Tokyo very well and told me many things
about Tokyo.

community open college (8)

Today I had the 8th English lesson
at 'community open college 2010'.

We practiced speaking in English.

The instructor said to us,
"Don't be afraid of making mistakes.
Don't mind making grammatical mistakes."

To be a better speaker of English,
I hope I'll have more chances to speak in English.

We also learned how to write invitation cards.
Then we learned how to write "thank you" e-mails.

Lastly, we were told to do a crossword puzzle
on Christmas & winter.

But we had no time to finish it.

We were all very active today.

We had a heavy thunderstorm this morning.

I was afraid my grandchildren got wet on their way to school.

My grandson goes to high school by bicycle.

My granddaughter walks to school.

A violent thunderstorm was passing over the city
when they were going to school.

The thunderstorm had gone at nine when I left my apartment
to attend Friday English Circle. It was raining lightly.

The weather was beginning to clear during the class.

The sun was shining and the sky was so blue
when I was coming back to my apartment.

What a changeable weather!
