It is July 6th. Today is your birthday!
I am so glad to know that you are fine. You are busy helping your mother live a comfortable life in the retirement house. I also went to see my mother every evening after work for 17 years! I took her home at the end of the week.
I am sure she was happy to live near my house in her later years. I was happy, too, because she made me so busy. She always said that she spent the daytime looking forward to seeing me in the evening. None of her other children came to see her, because they were busy about their family affairs.
Anyway, all is well that ends well. I often feel you and I have many things in common.
How wonderful! On August 14 - 27 you are going on a cruise to Alaska. You'll have a very good time. How beautiful the ocean is in summer! You'll enjoy a golden ocean sunset and a brilliant sunrise. I can hardly wait to hear from you about the cruise.
Oh, I can understand how you are worried about your dogs. I know you feel guilty about leaving your dogs. They will miss you so much. But they are happy when you are happy. Please enjoy your cruise and they will be happy to see you happy.
This is what my daughter told me when she was only 6 years old. She always said to me, "I am the happiest when mom seems happy. " Your dogs are as old as her at that time. They love you so much. They will miss you but they will be all right.
