Blues Project - I Can't Keep From Crying 1967

　
　小生が高校生の時によく聴いたアルバムがこれだ。ブリティッシュロックが全盛だったこの頃にアメリカのバンドで気になった存在だった。米国の白人バンドだって、英国人がブルースをひっさげて活躍していたのを黙って見過ごすことはなかったのだろう。そんなバンドのひとつブルース・プロジェクトの３枚目のアルバムI Cant' Keep From Crying Sometimes（邦題は泣かずにいられない）はアルクーパーの作品だが、このニューヨークのタウンホールでのライブ録音（一部はスタジオらしい）のアルバムが出た頃には既に脱退していたらしい。

　とまぁ、なんと哀しい歌詞だろうか。このあとアルバムはラストの Wake Me, Shake Me に突き進んでいく。

結局バンドは短命に終わって、アルクーパーはこの後 Blood, Sweat & Tears を結成して別の路線を進むことになる。
