walking in Fukagawa, Tokyo

Yesterday I joined ‘Green Road Walking Club’
and enjoyed walking in Fukagawa.

I like samurai dramas very much.
I hear the name of Fukagawa very often in samurai dramas.
But I had never been to Fukagawa!

So I enjoyed a great deal of Fukagawa atmosphere.

I was sorry we did not stay long at each place.
So I think I will visit Fukagawa again.

We members gathered at Hagiyama Station by half past nine.
We went to Morishita Station, changing trains three times.

Then we started walking in Fukagawa.
We visited many places.

We visited—

We had onigiri-lunch in the garden of Kiyosumi.
I bought
for my family and me.

I walked 21210 steps in a day.

to Yokohama

I am a total stranger to Yokohama.

Yesterday I went to Kannai, Yokohama, by myself
to enjoy ぶっど-san’s two paintings.

I went to Kannai by way of Tokyo Station.

One of his two paintings shows dancing
in Japanese myths.

The other shows La Buddhist’s primavera.

They are size 100 oil paintings, I suppose.

I can’t say why, but they made me happy.

I was overwhelmed by ぶっど-san's highly motivated
paintings.

Leaving the gallery, I walked to Osanbashi Yokohama
International Passenger Terminal,

Oh, How I wished I could go on a voyage around the world!

I’m interested in not only famous tourist attractions
but also in people living there.

I was looking at the blue Pacific for some time.

Now, I’d better go home.

I left the Terminal and when I came to Nihon Odori
(日本大通り), I happened to see a signpost to 中華街!

I started to walk toward 中華街 instead of to Kannai Station.

I enjoyed walking along the street.
I bought 天津焼き栗 for my family.

I was a little tired and got on a bus for Yokohama Station.

I came back to Tokyo in the evening.

I really had a good day and walked a lot.

I walked 17133 steps in a day.

traveling around the Earth in my notebook

Every morning, when I change my dress,
I wear my pedometer.

In the evening, I write down the number
my pedometer shows in my notebook.

At the end of each month, I figure up
a total of the month.

At the end of each year, I figure up
a total of 12 months.

The total of December was 323,636 steps,
which means about 178 kilometers.

The total of the year 2011 was 3705,454 steps.
which means about 2,037 kilometers.

I’m enjoying traveling around the world
in my notebook.

My notebook tells me that I’ve walked
only 22,482 kilometers,
since I came to live in Tokyo in the year of 2000.

How many years do I have to live in order to walk 40000km--
to travel completely around the Earth
