quiet days in Niigata

The Joetsu-shinkansen was not crowded at all at Tokyo Station
but I was surprised a lot of people got on at Echigo-yuzawa.

When I arrived at Niigata Station , the sun was shining bright.
On the first day in Niigata I had a delightful weather.

At the station I met a friend of mine, a nurse who took care of
my husband at his death.

Before going to my house in the suburbs, I had a delicious lunch
with her. We enjoyed talking about life.

On the way to my house I saw the beautiful evening sunlight.
How sentimental of me! I was almost crying.

On the second and third days in Niigata, the weather was getting
worse. The bad weather kept me at home.

On both days, one of my old coworkers visited me.
How nice to meet her and talk to her!

On the fourth day, yesterday, I was coming back to Tokyo
by Shinkansen.

I stopped off at Nagaoka and then took a local bus
to my native town. My native town always makes me happy.

I was sorry I could not go to see the Japan Sea
because of bad weather.

I was sorry I could not go out for autumn colors, either.

But I enjoyed quiet days in Niigata very much.
