A Lover's Concerto

2009-11-21 14:45:00 | ノンジャンル
As soon as I wake up in the morning,
I turn on the radio every morning.

I feel very happy when I happen to hear
my favorite song on the radio.

This morning I heard A Lover's Concerto
by Sarah Vaughan.

The original piece of work is J. S. Bach''Minuet.'

I have played this song on the harmonica.

koharu has played this song on the piano.

Oh, I do love the words, too!

A Lover's Concerto
Written by Linzer / Randell
Performed by Sarah Vaughan

How gentle is the rain
That falls softly on the meadow
Birds high above in the trees
Serenade the flowers with their melodies oh oh oh

See there beyond the hill
The bright color of the rainbow
Some magic from above
Made this day for us
Just to fall in love

Now I belong to you
From this day until forever
Just love me tenderly
And I'll give to you every part of me oh oh oh

Don't ever make me cry
Through long lonely nights without love
Be always true to me
Kept it stay in your heart eternally

Someday we shall return to this place upon
The meadow
We'll walk out in the rain
Hear the bird's above sing once again oh oh oh
*
You'll hold me in your arms
And say once again, you love me
And if your love is true
Everything will be just as wonderful

(*Repeat)

Showa Kinen Park, with koharu

The rain continued four days,
but today the weather cleared!

Oh, what a nice day!

koharu, my granddaughter, and I went to Showa Kinen Park.
It was koharu's second visit to the Park.

We left the train at Tachikawa on Chuo Line and walked
to Showa Kinen Park.

I was surprised to see the notice "Admission free today"
at the entrance. why? Anyway, what luck!

This time koharu and I first went around the park
by Park Train.

Last time we had no chance to catch Park Train.

According to the guide. Showa Kinen Park is 40 times
as large as Tokyo Dome.

After enjoying the park by Park Train, koharu and I
walked to Minnano-harappa and ate onigiri there.

There were many, many people playing there.
I had never seen more people before in Minnano-harappa.

After eating onigiri, koharu and I went to Waterfowl Lake,
the largest pond in Showa Kinen Park.

koharu wanted to row a boat but I had no experience
of rowing a boat.

So we decided to ride a cycling boat.
koharu worked the pedals and I took the steering wheel.

koharu and I were excited.
We had a lot of fun.
koharu had a dull muscular pain in her legs and feet.

When koharu and I went back home, koharu's mother
had made a birthday cake for me.

They sang a birthday song for me.

koharu's family all celebrated my birthday by delicious dinner.

What a hearty birthday party they had for me!

Thank you so much, everybody.
I promise I will enjoy each moment until my last moment comes.

What a wonderful day I had today!

fallen leaves

A cold rain was drizzling down all day.

I walked on the fallen leaves
and went to the community center.

I attended my Harmonica Circle today.

The road was very slippery with wet fallen leaves.

I walked slowly and softly.

I remembered having fallen down and had my left ankle
broken 4 years ago.

Yesterday I enjoyed walking with 15 members
of Green Road Walking Club.

We went to Okutama by train.

Many people were enjoying the beautiful autumn
colors of Okutama.

It was my first time to walk in Okutama.

We walked from Okutama-station to Hatonosu-station
along the Tamagawa River.

Amazing! I greatly enjoyed those beautiful views of Okutama.

I walked 18052 steps in a day.
