koharu's brother, their parents and I stayed
in Kawaguchiko-machi for two days to enjoy music.

We enjoyed two days' open-air concerts
at the Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater.
They were wonderful concerts.

On Aug. 18, we enjoyed Siena Wind Orchestra,
conducted by Sado Yutaka--
African Symphony by Van McCoy,
1812 Festival Overture by Tchaikovsky,
Japanese Enka medley, etc.

All the audience stood up and enjoyed stepping
to the music of Mambo No 5 by Perez Prado.
Everybody was excited.

On Aug. 19, yesterday, we enjoyed Beethoven's
The Symphony No. 9 "Choral"--all movements from
beginning to the last. We sang that famous part of chorus
--all together.

Watching the conductor, Sado Yutaka, on the stage,
I could not hold back my tears. I sang with happy tears
in my eyes.

Sado Yutaka is a wonderful conductor.
His way of conducting an orchestra fascinates the audience.
We all understands how deep his love for music is.

My family and I greatly enjoyed two days' concerts
at the Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater.

blazing hot sun

I've just been to the harmonica circle.

I walked to the community center.
It was unbearably hot.

I used to be ill in bed almost all summers
except these eight summers.
I was afraid of the summer heat.

But today I felt happy when I was walking in the blazing sun.

It is quite amazing that I've got so strong.
I am grateful beyond words.

at a farmer's

This is the hottest summer I've ever known
since I came to live in Tokyo
How should I bear the heat wave?

I went to a nearby farmer's gate to buy some vegetables.
The owner of the farm was very kind and showed me
around his vegetable field.

What a peaceful place !
Every vegetable was grown with love and good care.
It seemed that the owner was very happy to explain
how to grow those vegetables.

I almost forgot that I was standing in the heat wave.

a live concert

Yesterday one of my blog friends, Anjuna-san,
had a live concert at APIA in Shibuya.

APIA is a live house. I had never been to a live house
before Anjuna-san had a live concert at APIA in June last year.

By the way, I am not sure if the phrase "live house" is English
or Japanese English. Is it better to call APIA "a live music
studio"? APIA is "a live house" which is 37 years old.

At a live house the stage and the audience are combined
to make a single world.

Anjuna-san sang soul music written and composed by himself.
His music had something spiritual.
His music was encouraging to me.

Thank you for your music full of love, Anjuna-san.
