Yesterday Ms. M and I met on a platform
at Tokyo Station.
We went to the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
(東京国立近代美術館)
It is 3 minutes' walk from Takebashi Starion on the
East and West line, Tokyo Metro.
Ms. M and I enjoyed Yasuda Yukihiko’s Retrospective
( 安田靫彦展 ).
He was born in 1884 and passed away in 1978.
He was born in Shinbashi, Tokyo.
His Japanese-style paintings were all so beautiful and
graceful.
I thought he was a genius.
He did historical paintings all his life.
His paintings brought me back into the old age of Japan.
Ms. M and I were totally fascinated by his historical paintings.
I don’t know why but his paintings give me nostalgia.
After enjoying the exhibition, we walked to 北の丸公園
to view cherry blossoms at their best.
We had a nice spring Sunday,
though it was cloudy.
