sakura-matsuri in the community

There is a street named Sakura-dori
in my neighborhood.

There are cherry trees on both sides of the street.

The cherry blossoms are at their best.

Today Sakura-matsuri was held there.

I enjoyed strolling down the street
viewing the cherry blossoms.

I was sorry it was cloudy today.
How I wished the sky were blue!

The sky did not turn blue—always grey.
It was very cold.

Everybody there looked happy.

How happy we are
to enjoy a life of peace!
