koharu's birdhouse

Before I left for Europe, koharu told me
that she was not sure if Santa Claus would
bring her a Christmas present.

"Santa Claus knows I'm not a little girl any more.
So, Santa Claus will not come to me.

I think I will write 'Thank you letter'to Santa Claus
for bringing me Christmas presents for many years,"
she said.

But Santa Claus came to koharu with a birdhouse
as a Christmas present--
a birdhouse which she had long wanted!

koharu hung the birdhouse from the branch
of the tree karin.

koharu is excited!
koharu says, "I don't know how to thank Santa Claus."

koharu is happy to see Sparrows or bulbuls ひよどり
come to her birdhouse every morning.
