According to today's newspaper, there are still tens of thousands of people left behind in New Orleans.
Alas! How do they manage to live without food and water? Can they cry for help on the rooftops? All I can do is to pray for them. May God help them!
Every rescue operation by the authorities seems to be
too late and slow. Even the refugees are dying, I read.
No food, no electricity, no bed, no medicine, no milk for babies---there is nothing in the hot summer heat.
Is this an American way? I don't want to think so.
