　クリームの出世作となった"Wheels of Fire"は海外では２枚組だったが、日本ではセールス的に苦しいと考えられたのかスタジオ録音が銀色、ライブ録音が金色と２枚に分けて販売された。当時小生が同級生から借りた銀色ジャケットの最後に入っていたのが軽快なこの曲だ。独特の変拍子にクールなチェロの音色が印象的。ちなみに一曲目はホワイト・ルーム。

　おおげさに唄っているように聴こえるが、要は失恋の唄のようだ。ライブ・クリームには一曲目に収録されていてはじけた演奏が聴けるが小生の好みはスタジオ録音の方です。
