walking in Shibuya Ward

My sister called me this morning, saying the snow was falling
thick and fast in my hometown in Niigata.

But here in Tokyo, what a lovely day we had today !

When I woke this morning, I felt very good and felt like walking.

I decided at once to join ‘Green Road Walking Club’
and hurried to the meeting place, Kodaira Station.

About 30 members gathered and we took a train for Seibu-Shinjuku.

We changed trains twice and arrived at 表参道駅.

We started to walk from there.
It was my first time to walk along 表参道.

Many people were walking there.

(today's waking)
表参道駅 ⇒ 明治神宮 ⇒ 代々木八幡宮 ⇒
代々木公園 ⇒ 竹下通り ⇒ 原宿駅

Here we are at 明治神宮!

「第38回明治神宮奉納冬期全国氷彫刻展」was held.

I bowed politely before going through 鳥居 and prayed
before 本殿.

Then we walked on and on and arrived at 代々木八幡宮.
We had some rest in 代々木公園. I felt warm and sweaty.

I have often heard of 竹下通り
and today I went there for the first time.

Wow! Why is 竹下通り so crowded?
The street was full of young people.

But shops or stores along the street were not
so crowded.

I don’t know why, but I like 竹下通り.
I think I’ll go there again.

Today I walked 21921 steps in a day.
