Yesterday I went to 東京都美術館 in Ueno Park alone.
The special exhibition ‘Turner from the Tate’ opened
on October 8th.
I am a fan of Turner, Joseph Mallord William Turner,
an English Romantic artist.
He was born in 1775 and passed away in 1851.
He is known as "the painter of light."
I am a fan of Claude Monet too.
He was born in 1840 and passed away in 1926.
Their works have many things in common, I suppose.
There were many long lines of people waiting to get
tickets of admission into Ueno Zoo.
(at 1:00 p.m.)
I wished I could take my granddaughter koharu with me.
She is always so busy with her brass band club activity
and has no time to spare for me.
