How happy I was to see the sunrise
when I had breakfast on the 30th floor
of the hotel!

A glorious sunrise was just commencing.

On the way back to Tokyo I visited
Toyokawa-inari temple in Aichi.
It was also very crowded with many visitors.

I bought a tile for 1500 yen and wrote my prayer on it.

After Toyokawa-inari I went to Tosho-gu
on top of Mt. Houraiji temple.

Everybody I saw looked calm during these three days.
Nobody looked angry.

I hope everybody's heart will be filled with love.

On New Year's Day I visited Ise-jingu.
It was my first time to visit Ise-jingu.

Ise-jingu was very crowded with people
who wanted to pray for a bright and
happy new year.

It took me nearly two hours to go to the alter
of the main hall and to say my prayers.

I'd like to visit Ise-jingu again in the near future
when it is less crowded.

Before going to Ise-jingu, I went to Futami-ga-ura
to see meoto-iwa--Husband-and-Wife Rocks.
I saw many couples watching the rocks.

How did you welcome your new year?
I wish you happiness and great health
for the new year!

I stayed the last and the first nights of a year
at a hotel in Toyohashi, Aichi.

I joined a bus tour which was planned to welcome
a new year.

On the last day of 2008 I saw beautiful Mt. Fuji
on the hilly terrain-- Nihon-daira. I felt so happy.

I also visited Miho-no-matsubara.
I was quite delighted to see green pine trees
and the blue sea.

On the way to the hotel I enjoyed a glorious sunset.
