strolling through Ginza

Yesterday it was a very hot Sunday.
I felt as if we were in midsummer.
The maximum temperature in Tokyo was ３３℃.

I had a phone call from M-san yesterday morning
and we immediately decided to meet in Ginza.

Wow! What a lot of people were walking along the street,
銀座中央通り in spite of that severe summer heat!

And I myself was enjoying walking there!

It was a Sunday afternoon and there were no cars running there.
I mean 歩行者天国.

We enjoyed strolling through Ginza.

But・・・Alas! What a surprise!

I was deeply shocked to read a notice on the shutter.

My favorite Japanese restaurant 「銀座大増」
had put up the shutter at the end of last December!

We had lunch there last August.
We were too busy to come to Ginza last autumn.

Ginza, which I visited after an interval of 9 months,
was crowded.

There were many foreign people coming from Asia.

Everybody looked happy.





M-san and I went to 東京風月堂　and enjoyed “Afternoon Tea.”
