I cut them into slices and preserved them in 8 bottles of honey.

Most people think karin, quince, is not good to eat.
Some of them will make karin-shu but they will not eat
karin in karin-shu.
Others will only enjoy karin's pleasant fragrance.
Sliced karin preserved in honey can be eaten if they are cooked
in a microwave oven in advance.
They taste like apples in apple pies.
