Yesterday I went to Tachikawa cinema 2 to see a movie
titled 'Joyeux Noel'(senjo no aria, in Japanese ).
This is a movie based on a true story. It is about an
event that truly happened on Christmas Eve, in 1914, on
the battlefront in the First World War.
All the soldiers on the battlefront, both enemies and
friends, left their rifles in the trenches, walked to the
enemies, and shook their hands with their enemies, wishing
each other "Merry Christmas!
The soldiers were from France, Britain, and German. The
Germans then occupied the small town of northern France.
And this event was made into a movie in collaboration with
France, German, and Britain.
I really enjoyed this movie. It is a heartwarming,
excellent movie, I think.
