BestBuyが調子良いんですね。
第３Qの業績が随分伸びてるわけですな。

Net income rose to $228 million, or 53 cents a share, in the latest quarter, from $150 million, or 31 cents, a year earlier. Sales jumped 17% to $9.93 billion from $8.47 billion, the Minneapolis-based company said.

ライバルのCircuit Cityは赤字のようで。

Circuit City's expected to report later this week a third-quarter loss, according to Thomson Financial. CompUSA said this month it will shut down its stores in the wake of its buyout by an affiliate of restructuring firm Gordon Brothers Group.


オンラインセールスもかなり伸びていて、

Online sales surged 65% in the latest quarter, Best Buy said.

既存店も、ええっー　USで６％伸びた。他の地域だとなんと９．３%。
U.S. same-store sales, an industry performance metric that excludes and new and closed stores, rose 6.1%. Same-store sales outside of the U.S. jumped 9.3%.

粗利率はフラットで

The company's gross margins, tracking the percentage of sales left after subtracting the cost of goods sold, were flat at 23.5%.


販管費は改善。

Selling, general and administrative expenses fell to 20% of sales from 21.2% a year earlier.

何かスキがありませんな。

BestBuyの時価総額が２００億ドル超で売り上げが３００億ドル超、営業利益率が５％半ばもあるのに対し、

Circuit City の時価総額は１０億ドルちょっとしかありません。売り上げは３分の一くらいなのですが赤字なんですな。

いや、怖い怖い。比べ物になりません。BBYのどこが良くて、ＣＣのどこがだめだったんでしょうな。それにしても随分な差ですよね。
