フィリピンフォードの販売台数が増加している，というニュース。

Ford Philippines reports soaring sales


Ford Philippines sold 6,261 vehicles in June, up 87.23 percent from 3,344 a year earlier, led by strong demand for the pick-up model Ranger, the carmaker said in an e-mailed statement Friday.

二倍近く増えた，というんで，かなりの伸びだと言っていいんでしょうね。


5月の数字ですが，フィリピン全体で，月間16千台弱。
このフォードの数字は大きいですな。なにがあったんでしょうかね。

まあ，伸びているといっても，かなり小さい数字なんですね。

この数字を見ても，フィリピンの貧困問題（貧困比率が高く，その削減が進まない）という状況がなんとなくわかるんですな。

2010年米国自動車販売 トヨタが・・・

11月はトヨタが一人負けだったってハナシをしたとこですが、2010年全体でどうだったか。

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp.’s U.S. vehicle sales fell in 2010 while industrywide sales rose 11 percent and every other major automaker reported gains. Ford Motor Co. moved up to second place behind only General Motors Co.

業界全体で販売が11％も伸びている一方で、トヨタは販売が減少。フォードが2位に返り咲き。

Ford displaced Toyota as No. 2 in the U.S. with 1.97 million vehicles sold in the year, up 17 percent from 2009, compared with Toyota’s sales of 1.76 million cars and trucks. GM retained the top spot with U.S. sales of 2.22 million vehicles, an increase of 7 percent. Deliveries in December accelerated to the fastest pace of the year.

フォードは09年と比較して17％の増加。GMは7％。

Toyota recalled more than 8 million vehicles worldwide last year, mostly for flaws related to unintended acceleration, with the majority occurring in the U.S. The company temporarily halted U.S. production and sales of eight models, including its top-selling Camry and Corolla cars in January to fix the flaws. Meanwhile, GM, Ford, Nissan Motor Co. and Hyundai Motor Co. lured buyers away with new models.

トヨタは昨年8百万台をリコール。売上トップのカムリやカローラを含む8モデルについて、問題を修正するために一時的に米国での生産をストップ中。GM、フォード、ニッサンやヒュンダイは新モデルで顧客を引き付けている。


Industrywide sales in 2010 totaled 11.6 million, according to Autodata Corp., based in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. That’s up from 10.4 million the previous year for the first gain since 2005 and the largest percentage increase since 1984.

米国全体での自動車販売は11.6百万台。09年は10.4百万台。1984年以来の伸び率の高さ。

まあ、台数としてはまだまだって感じですがね。

Toyota’s incentive spending rose in December to $2,253 a vehicle, up 37 percent from last year, Toprak said. Toyota’s incentives were below the industry average of $2,721 a vehicle. The rising deals are a sign that Toyota will fight to hold market share, Toprak said.

トヨタの12月のインセンティブは一台あたり2253ドルで去年より37％アッフ。業界平均は2721ドル。トヨタはマーケットシェアを確保しようとしていることを表している。

それでも業界平均よりは低いんですな。

GM’s Increase

“This is a market that’s coming back significantly,” said Rebecca Lindland, an analyst with IHS Automotive, a researcher in Lexington, Massachusetts. “And with really strong products coming from GM, Ford and Chrysler, there’s a lot of opportunity for change in the marketplace.”

強い製品が登場することで、GMやフォード、クライスラーは、市場を変えるチャンスが沢山ある。

Deliveries of GM’s Chevrolet Cruze small car rose 35 percent from November to 10,865 in December, and Ford’s sales of the new Fiesta subcompact increased to 5,212, a 50 percent gain from a month earlier. Deliveries of Chrysler’s redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee more than tripled from a year earlier.

シボレークルーズは12月は11月に比べ35％の伸び。フォードのニューフィェスタサブコンパクトは5割の伸び。クライスラーの新型ジープグランドチェロキーは前年より3倍。

新モデルを出したってことなんですかね。

Banks are starting to lend more freely, giving buyers with weaker credit an opportunity to purchase new cars, he said. Subprime borrowers account for about 5 percent of GM’s sales right now, he said.

銀行は信用力の弱い買い手にもお金を貸し始めた。GMの顧客の5％はサブプライム。

Chrysler Up


Sales of Chrysler’s namesake brand dropped 28 percent, and Dodge deliveries fell 6.4 percent, while Jeep deliveries gained 49 percent and Ram brand truck sales increased 87 percent, the company said in a statement.

クライスラーブランドは28％落ちたが、ジープが48％アップ、ラムブランドが87％伸びた。
ヤッパ、クライスラーご本尊は終わってる感じですね。

Nissan, Honda

Nissan Motor Co.’s U.S. sales in December increased 28 percent, Al Castignetti, the company’s U.S. vice president, said in an interview. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg was for a gain of 20 percent. Deliveries for all of 2010 gained 18 percent, he said.

Honda Motor Co.’s sales rose 21 percent, according to a tally of 2010 sales the Tokyo-based company released. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg was for an increase of 7.2 percent.

Hyundai Motor Co., based Seoul, boosted deliveries 33 percent to 44,802 in December, the company said in a statement. South Korea’s largest automaker sold a record 538,228 vehicles in the U.S. last year, a 24 percent gain.


日産が28％の伸び。ホンダは21％、ヒュンダイは33％。

こうして見ると、トヨタの低迷が目立ちますね。ただ、生産を一部ストップしていること、他社の新車効果、マーケットがまだまだ絶対水準としては低迷していて、今後の上昇はもっと大きいと思われること、それに、以前お伝えしたように、トヨタもトラック部門は伸ばしていることを考えると、

リコール問題が解決すればトヨタもそれなりに回復する、

と予想することもできますかね。

トヨタ 米国工場の雇用増やす

久々の自動車なんですが、米国の自動車販売も、次第に回復してきているようですね。ポンコツ法が期限切れになった後はずいぶんと落ちましたが、その後はゆっくりと戻していることがわかります。

なんやかんや言っても、人口が減り続けている日本とは状況が違うんですな。将来のマーケットにも楽観的になれる理由があります。

まあ、それは良いとして、トヨタがインディアナ工場のフルタイム労働者の数を増やすんだそうです。

Toyota hiring more workers in Indiana


Toyota Motor Corp. says it is adding employees to the full-time workforce at its southern Indiana factory in its third such step since lifting a four-year hiring freeze in September.

南インディアナ工場でフルタイムワーカーを増やす。４年間の追加雇用停止措置を９月に解除して３度目。


The company says the 53 production positions will be filled by current temporary workers at the plant near Princeton.

追加の５３人は、一時雇用中のワーカーによって埋められる。

Factory spokeswoman Kelly Dillon tells the Princeton Daily Clarion that Toyota has seen improved sales for the Highlander mid-size SUV and the Sienna minivan that are made at the plant.

工場の広報は、そこで製造しているミッドサイズSUVのハイランダーとシエナミニバンの販売が好調なのだと説明した。

She says Toyota is cautious in hiring and wouldn't add the full-time jobs if it didn't anticipate continued strong sales.

More than 4,000 people now work at the factory some 20 miles north of Evansville. It has added about 100 permanent workers this year.

とまあ、好調だってことですな。
上のリンク先はウォールストリートジャーナルのサイトで、各社の自動車販売状況がでてるんですが、トヨタは全米で決して好調だとは言えず、今年通年で横ばい、11月単月だとマイナスです。自動車が弱くて、上の方にある車種別で見ると、カムリや、カローラが随分と落ちてるんですね、ってか一人負けに近い。

品質問題で、随分たたかれたんで、それが影響してるんですかね。

ただ、ライトトラックは好調に伸びていて、自動車が弱いのをカバーしているんですね。それが、この増員につながっているんだと思いますが、ってことはカムリやカローラを作ってる工場は減員なりフリーズが続いているのかも知れませんな。

いずれにせよ、カムリや、カローラを売るよりは、ライトトラックの方が儲かるに違いないんで、台数が同じなら、トヨタの米国利益は去年よりは良いってことかも知れませんがね。

フォード 絶好調

トヨタがリコール問題で足を取られている間にフォードは好調が続いているようで、

Ford reports 13% rise in profit in 2nd quarter

Bolstered by strong sales of new car models such as the Fusion and redesigned Taurus, Ford Motor Co. said Friday that its second-quarter profit rose 13% to $2.6 billion.

第２Qの利益が13％アップして26憶ドル。年間で100憶ドルのピッチってことは利益一兆円。かつてのトヨタって感じですかね。


The results — Ford's best in six years — beat Wall Street expectations and marked the automaker's fifth consecutive profitable quarter.

この6年でベスト。

いや、ついこないだまで、日本車におされて、にっちもさっちもって印象だったんですがね。冒頭のところで、ピックアップトラックじゃなくて、ヒュージョンやトーラスが好調だ、ってのも復活を感じさせますな。日本車に勝ってるってことなんでしょう。

Sales climbed to $31.3 billion from $27.2 billion a year earlier.

売上も伸びてて、

Buyers have been attracted to the Ford's lineup of fuel-efficient cars and new high-tech features such as Sync, an in-car communications and entertainment system developed by Ford and Microsoft Corp., analysts said.

燃費の良いラインナップとフォードシンクのようなハイテクに顧客は惹きつけられている。

電話と同期したり、メールを読みあげてくれたり、しかも音声に反応するんで、ドライバーはハンドルから手を離す必要がない。こりゃ良いですな。これからの機能をデモしてるみたいなんで、現行機種に搭載はされてないかもしれませんがね。


With improving profits, the company said it was on track to have more cash than debt by end of next year.

来年末に借入より現金の方が多くなるという目標にむかって順調に進んでいる。


かなり調子がよさそうですね。

ホンダ 中国工場でスト

ホンダの中国工場でストライキがあったんですな。



映像は静かで、給料上げろ、オーッ!! みたいなのは無いですな。
そもそも、労働者の権利がどうとかいう概念があるんでしょうか。

とにかく、どういうからくりで中国でストがたつのかわかりませんが、

結局、ホンダが支給額を上げて、解決するみたいですな。

Honda to Raise Wages for Striking Workers at Chinese Factory

Honda Motor Co., Japan’s second- biggest automaker, will raise workers’ monthly wages after a parts factory strike shut down almost all Chinese production.

ストで中国のすべての生産が止まっていたが、月給を上げることになった。

中国の生産が全部止まってたんですね。そりぁ、ゆゆしき問題です。

The workers will receive a 24 percent pay increase to 1,910 yuan ($280 dollars) per month, the Tokyo-based company said in a faxed statement today. Most workers have accepted the offer, while talks continue with those who are unsatisfied, Honda said.

24％上げて、280ドル。大半は同意した。

月に280ドルですか。まだ随分安いですな。まあ、中国で作ったクルマは中国内でも売るんで、売るクルマも安くなるんでしょうがね。

映像では2000元を要求してるってなっているんで、そこまで行かなくてもほぼ要求通りに近い感じですかね。

Honda produces about 3,000 vehicles a day in China, according to Koji Endo, a Tokyo-based analyst at Advanced Research Japan.
The affected factories, joint ventures between Honda and its Chinese partners, make models including the Accord sedan and Civic compact and have combined annual capacity of 650,000 units.

日に3000台も作ってるんですな。年間650千台のキャパ。中国のパートナーとのジョイントベンチャーなんだそうですがね。

中国が高度成長するなら当然給与は上がって行きますな。
輸出に頼る経済から、内需を充実させてゆくにもこれは避けて通れない。

しっかし、ストライキですか。
中国のストって手ごわそうですな。

米自動車販売09年 スバルが意外にすごかった。

カーオブザイヤーネタのついでに、去年の自動車販売についてもちょこっと。

09年メーカー別。

前年と比べて2割減ってるんですね。かなり悪かった。

ただ、12月単月では、15％増えている、と言っても08年は秋口からリーマンショックで落ちまくっているんで、09年の12月がちょっとくらい増えても実数はまだまだ低いんですがね。

で、12月の数字で、これが前年よりまだマイナスがつづいているメーカーはちょいヤバイいんじゃないか、と思うんですな。　

左が09年12月、真ん中が08年12月　　右が比較です。

クライスラーはヤッパリだめですな。とはいっても乗用車部門は回復してて、ライトトラックが立ち直らないんですね。

マツダ、三菱も苦戦してますな。他が二桁増であるところをみると、1.6％程度の回復は不調とみるべきでしょうな。マイナスの三菱はぜんぜんあきまへんってとでしょうか。一年たって需要の回復をとらえられず、取り残されている感じです。

スズキの不調が気になりますよね。まあ、もともと規模が小さいんで会社に打撃ということでもないんでしょうが半減というのは厳しいですね。

トヨタの輸入分なんですが、これ、米国からみた輸入なんですが、乗用車は回復してますが、トラックが落ちてますね。合算でチャラくらいですかね。トヨタ全体では回復しても輸入は伸びない。米国の生産能力をまず使ってから、輸入を回復させるということで、まだまだ米国内の生産能力が余ってるって解釈できませんかな。

よくわかりませんが、日本からの輸出が回復していない、ということを意味しているかもですね。日本の自動車生産が世界一を回復した、なんて意外なニュースをご紹介したのは07年の12月でしたが、今は随分落ちてるんじゃないですかね。。

ホンダの数字を見ても全体は回復してますが、輸入は乗用車もトラックも回復してませんね。まあ、ホンダは現地化が進んでいてもともと輸入比率は小さいんですが・・・。

日産もトータルでは輸入は伸びてませんな。

実はこのスバル、年間でも前年比15.4％プラスです。

フォードがカーオブザイヤーをとったようでして、

Ford sweeps Detroit Auto Show awards

Ford Motor Co. won both the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards presented Monday at the start of Detroit's North American International Auto Show.

北米部門の自動車、トラック、両方獲得したんですね。


The Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan won Car of the Year and the Ford Transit Connect van won Truck of the Year.

ヒュージョンハイブリッド、とトランジットコネクトバン。


GM could have swept the awards again this year. The Buick LaCrosse sedan and Chevrolet Equinox SUV were among the three finalists for each award.

GMも最終候補に両部門でのこってたんだそうで、おしかった。

The other finalists were the Volkswagen Golf for Car of the Year and the Subaru Outback, a wagon-like crossover SUV, for Truck of the Year.

日本のスバルアウトバックもトラック部門の最終候補に残っていた。

ちなみにフォードヒュージョンはトラック、乗用車で全米9位ですね。

ベスト20

ただ、前年比で伸ばしているクルマの一つです。伸ばしているのは6つしかないんで。したの方ですが、レガシーも伸びてますね。人気がでてるんでしょう。




ちょっと前までフォードって・・・、って感じのイメージだったと思うんですが、去年はシェアもあげて、なんかすっかり見違えた感じですな。

Autoliv, Inc.は自動車のシートベルトなんかを作っているスエーデンの部品メーカーなんですが、株価を見てみるとですね

もう、去年の９月の水準は回復してますな。まだ、全回復とまでは言えないまでも、結構いいところまで来ていて、さらにずっと右肩上がりでいい感じです。まだまだいけそうですな。

Autoliv raises 4Q sales and margin guidance

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) -- Auto safety products maker Autoliv Inc. said Friday that it is raising its fourth quarter sales and margin guidance due to higher than expected demand from China and automakers rebuilding inventories. Its shares rose almost 5 percent.

予想より中国からの需要が大きいのと、自動車メーカーの在庫回復への動きで第４Q見通しを上方修正。

Autoliv said it expects fourth quarter net sales to rise 35 percent over the same quarter last year. That was up from earlier forecasts of a 25 percent gain. Operating margins, previously expected to grow 7 percent, are now forecast to rise by at least 9 percent.

売上は35％前年同期比で上昇見通し。営業マージンは７%向上するとしていたのを９%に上方修正

CEO Jan Carlson said that the increase in light vehicle sales in China and other emerging markets is larger than expected. Autoliv also believes that automakers need to build back up U.S. inventories after the government's Cash for Clunkers rebate program pushed up sales this summer.

中国や他の新興マーケットの小型車需要が予想より増えている。また、米国政府のポンコツ買換え法で売上が増えた後の、在庫回復への動きがあるとみている。

赤字が続いていたのが、この第３四半期から黒字転換したところで、第４四半期は見通しが良好ってことで、まあ、いい感じなんですな。


Auto-Parts Makers Say 2010 May Not As Bad As Feared

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Auto-parts manufacturers are benefiting from an increase in demand for new cars, largely due to government-led scrapping incentives and strength in emerging markets, and their encouraging outlooks suggest a renewed slump in 2010 may not be as bad as feared.

結構、部品メーカーの見通しの上方修正が続いていて、来年は思ったほど悪くないかもって感じもあるみたいなんですね。

ただ、各国政府のインセンティブで増えている面もあって、それに減ってしまった在庫の回復需要なんて終わったらしまいですけどね。

中国の自動車販売が米国を抜くんで、確かに増えてはいて、GMも増やしてて、それは良いんですが、単価の安いのが売れてるんでそんなに儲からないってハナシもありましたなあ。まあ、完成車メーカーはそうでも、部品メーカーはいい感じなのかも知れませんな。

まあ、久々の良いニュースって感じですが、そんなに楽観できるとは思えませんねえ。ただ、一息ついた感じはグーですな。

Best Cars Are Toyota, Honda, Ford, Says Consumer Reports

For the second straight year, the Ford Motor Co. has scored as the only Detroit automaker with quality and reliability to match that of Toyota and Honda, which between them have locked up nearly 25 percent of the enviable "Most Reliable" car list compiled by Consumer Reports magazine.

コンシューマーレポーツ誌によると、フォードはトヨタとかホンダとかと肩を並べて、最も信頼度の高い車リストに25％乗っかったんだそうで。

好成績はやはり品質の裏付けがあったということなんでしょうかね。車のトップはプリウスだったみたいですけどね。

NO.1プリウス

Consumer Reports says Chrysler is "continuing to struggle," as none of its models made to the most reliable list. In addition, more than a third of Chrysler models were deemed "much worse than average," in reliability.

クライスラーはどうよ、てことですが、苦戦中で、最も信頼できるクルマリストには一モデルも入らず。しかも３分の１が平均以下。

Chrysler's three brands — Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge — also were among the four "worst' in terms of reliability.

ジープとクライスラーとドッチブランドは、最悪リストの４モデルの中に入ってしまった。もう、こらアカン。

07年に、こんなんもありました。相変わらずってことですかね。

Some of GM's new products, such as the Chevrolet Malibu with a V6 engine and Chevrolet Traverse, did well in the survey. Overall, however, 28 of the 48 GM models included in the survey had below-average rankings, says Consumer Reports Rick Paul.

GMはＶ６を積んだシボレーマリブとシボレートラバースはいい線を行っている。ただ、48モデルのうち、28は平均以下。

The South Korean brands, Hyundai and Kia, also continued to improve, placing more vehicles, such as the Kia Sportage, on the most reliable list than they had in earlier years.

韓国ブランド、ヒュンダイやキアは引き続き改善中。キアスポーテージのように、最も信頼できるクルマリストに以前より多くのるようになってきている。

ふむふむ。韓国勢の躍進にも品質の裏付けがあるということですな。

まあ、市場はフェアに評価している、ってことで。
米国マーケットの立派なところ、とも言えるんじゃないですかね。

中国9月自動車販売

米国の9月自動車販売が8月の反動でひどいことになっていたわけですが、一方の中国は政府の政策の下支えもあってかなり伸びているようです。

今年は中国が米国を自動車販売で抜いた年として歴史に残ることになるんでしょうね。

China’s September Car Sales Rise 84%, Top 1 Million

China’s monthly passenger-car sales passed 1 million units for the first time, signaling that the government may ease stimulus measures in the world’s largest auto market so far this year.

9月は百万台を超えたんだそうで。うーんすごい。ちょっと前に生産台数が6百万台を超えるんでっせ、みたいなことを大事件のようにきいたような気がするんですがね。マーケットで世界一に、しかもこんなに早くなるとは。今年の初めにもそんな話があったかもしれませんが、通年でそうなりそうですな。

確か米国の9月販売は80万台行ってなかったはずですな（75万台弱です）。

September sales of cars, sport-utility vehicles and multipurpose vehicles climbed 84 percent to 1.015 million, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said in an e- mailed statement today.

去年の9月より84％も増えた。

The government cut vehicle taxes and introduced auto subsidies in rural areas earlier this year after demand plunged on the global recession.

政府は自動車減税を行っている。また、今年初めに地方で自動車補助金を出している。

自動車大国、という時には今後は米国だけでなく中国のことも入れて考えないといけなくなりますな。まあ、自動車のストック全体では当然米国の方が圧倒的に大きいはずですが、中国はまだまだこれからも増え続けて・・・。買い替えよりも初めて買う人が多いはずですよね。

クルマが増えると、エネルギー消費も・・・。
