birthday flower of July 4

Early this morning, around 5 o'clock,
I was still in bed, half sleeping.

I turned on the radio as I do every morning.

I happened to listen to the last part of ラジオ深夜便.

In that program I knew the birthday flower of July 4
is ノカンゾウ.

In the language of flowers ノカンゾウ means
「苦しみからの解放」.

I didn't know why but I felt happy to hear
this flower language.

July 4 is not my birthday,
but the phrase「苦しみからの解放」
lifted my spirits.

I walked along Tamagawa-josui in the afternoon.

How happy and excited
to see ノカンゾウ in the bushes!

Today is the day of

the election
for the members of
the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly.

I went to vote around 10:00 a.m.

It was hot and humid.

I hope
the voter turnout will be good.
