peace on earth

Today turned out fine. I went to enjoy hana-shoubu in Kitayama Kouen in Higashi Murayama City. They were at their best. I enjoyed them sitting on the bench. There are 170 kinds and 7000 roots of hana-shoubu, I hear. They made a quiet and peaceful world.

sunshine in the rainy season

The sunshine in the rainy season makes people happy. I saw a lot of people walking along the green road of Tamagawa Josui. I thought they would belong to some walking club or so. They walked very fast. I am a slow walker, so I cannot belong to any walking club. It is difficult for me to keep pace with those who are going ahead.

This is the picture of a pinewoods near my own house in Niigata. I like walking through this pinewoods.

rainy season

In Kanto region the rainy season has set in today. It's been drizzling all day. Hydrangeas seem happy in the rain. I saw white hydrangeas on the way to the supermarket. They are so lovely!

harmonica

I'm learning to play the harmonica. The teacher says a harmonica seems very easy to play but it is the most difficult instrument to play, because it is the only instrument to make sound by both blowing and breathing in air. The tunes played on the harmonica give me nostalgia for my younger days.

day nursery

Today my five-year-old granddaughter enjoyed Nursery Expo 2005 at K Nursery. The oldest children invited 100 younger children to their five pavilions they had built in the hall. They seemed all excited !
