まだロンドンの夢さめやらぬ、ってわけじゃないんですが、ジェフリーアーチャーの短編集を読んでいると、奥さんを殺すハナシが出てくる。ロシアのどっかでの商談に奥さんを連れていく、その奥さんはひそかに離婚弁護士を雇っていてどうも自分の財産を狙っているらしい、じゃあ・・・。
そのホテルには、『水道水のむべからず』と札が置いてあるが、その札をさっと隠しといて、ベッドのペットボトルの水を捨てて、水道水に入れ替える。
奥さんに、水道の水は危険だからとか言いながら、これをのませて、殺しちゃう。
シベリアなんとかいう病気で、奥さんはだんだん気分が悪くなってほんの数日で死んでしまう。
マジですか。水道水飲んで死ぬ？
昔チャイコフスキーがわざと水飲んで死んだんじゃないか、って書いてあったのをどっかで読んだ気がするんですが、今でもそうなんですかな。なんかめちゃめちゃ怖いですね。
