積極的に移民をうけいれて人口減少をくいとめている英国。しかし、それは差別と深刻な社会的な矛盾を生み出している。いかなる歴史的なプロセスをへて、人類は差別なき社会をつくりあげることができるのだろうか。
もう一つの背景には、国家財政の逼迫で、格差拡大に国家が有効な手をうえてなくなっていることがあります。貧困層は拡大し、ますますみじめな生活においやられている。
先進国の人口減少と財政破綻。はやめに対策をとらなければ、矛盾はますます深刻になる一方です。世界の株の暴落とロンドンの暴動は、共通の背景をもっており、いまはじまっていることは、序の口にすぎないとすれば、なにをすべきなのだろうか。
