BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN「OUT IN THE STREET」を和訳しました

ブルース・スプリングスティーン「OUT IN THE STREET」を和訳しました。この曲を僕はよく仕事の行き帰りに口ずさんでいました。金曜日に仕事が終わって最寄り駅への送迎バスに乗って帰る時にこの曲が浮かんで来ました。仕事が終わった。さあ遊ぼうと。遊ぼうと言っても僕は部屋でブルース・スプリングスティーンのブート海賊盤でライブ音源を聴いていたのですが。
そしてそのライブを聴いてまた新たに１週間の仕事が終わった開放感にひたっていました。
そして月曜日に仕事に行く送迎バスに乗り金曜日のことを思い浮かべてこの歌を口ずさんでいました。
ブルース・スプリングスティーンの「BORN IN THE U.S.A. TOUR」でもライブの初めの方に演奏されて僕は仕事を終えてライブに来ているのだと噛みしめて聴いていました。
この曲では後にブルースの奥さんになるパティがバックボーカルで頑張っていて、当時の僕はパティ生意気だなと思って聴いていましたが、僕が後に「Springsteen on Broadway」での出待ちでパティのやさしいやわらかい笑顔を見てから僕はすっかりパティも好きになりました。

そんなこの曲は僕にとってブルーカラーワーカーの代表であったブルース・スプリングスティーンらしい曲だと思っています。
