ブルース・スプリングスティーン「CAUTIOUS MAN」を僕なりに和訳しました。
この曲は地味な感じで僕はあまり聴く機会が無かったけれど今回和訳してみて、僕の気持ちにすごく染み渡って来る感じがしました。
二人の幸せを願うけれどそれは決して安心してずっとあるのでは無い。常に不安になる。
でもそんな不安になりながらも幸せを願い幸せを信じて生きる。僕もそうありたいなと思いました。

彼は肩越しに物事を見て歩いていた。そして彼が決めた規則を忠実に守って生きて来た
何かが彼の目に入った時には彼は必要か考えて
そしてとても注意深く進んだ

ビルは若い女性に出会った。５月の初旬に
彼女の腕の中で彼は用心深さを脱ぎ捨てた

彼はベッドに眠っている妻の顔にかかる髪をなでた。そして月明りが彼女の顔を白く輝かせた
そして二人の部屋は神さまが降りて来たような光で美しく満たされた
