CHINESE DID NOT KNOW ITS TRUE HISTORY, BUT........

Chinese people are demonstrating to Japan in their whole country.
Some people resorted to violence against Japanese residents or tourists in the big city such as Shanghai and Beijing.
These are evidences that Chinese common people lack good taste.
They appeal to Japanese government and the other countries, JAPAN's SENKAKU-Isles are Chinese territory.
But it's a wrong notion.
SENKAKU-Isles are definitely Japanese territory according to all official documents including outside Japan.

Why they believe in such a wrong notion that thier government appeals.
There are a couple of reasons.
First, they are always thinking about only their profits even though the other people are got annoyed.
Second, some of them can not understand the concept of territory.
Third, Chinese didn't have to know its true history, in order to protect the Communist Party .
If they knew the truth,what will happen?
It might be a beginning of collapse of their nation and community.

Chinese government (Communist Party) have been releasing convenient informations to own citizens for long time.
These informations are including fake ones in high percentage. Especially in the modern history and economy.
In the kids education they've been teaching kids, Japan is the country of barbarous ethnic or demons.
They sometimes call Japan as a small devil in their elemental school formally.
Some of them believe in it after they grow up.

China is the one of the largest country in the world today.
Sometime they need to lead other countries in international activities.
Leader of the international society is required its dignity,calmness,intelligence,moral tone and economy power and political power.
However according to news on TV or newspaper or internet, China never have such dispositions at all now.

Before they try to make a protest against Japan.
They must learn about the truth.
After that , they will understand why they have many international issues against other countries such as Japan,Vietnum,Phillippine,Thailand,Myammar,India,Chibet and United States so on.
If they don't want to know the truth,they must be expelled from international society.

食べる人類誌、人は何を食べてきたのか

子供の頃、父が美味しそうに食べていた「ナマコ」。
そのナマコの切る前の姿を見て、ギョッとしたことは忘れられない。
「こんな気色の悪いもん、美味しいん？」
と訊いたところ、晩酌が楽しいいのか「美味いぞ」と父は機嫌よく答えてくれた。
あのグロテスクなナマコを食べるなんて信じられなかったのだが、大学生になって酒を嗜むようになってきたある日のこと、居酒屋で勢いにまかせて食べてみたらコリコリとした歯ざわりで、
「こりゃ美味い！」
と叫んでいたのであった。

また、バンコクのスクンビット通りの裏路地を歩いていると屋台で何やら揚げ物料理を作っている。
何を調理しているのかな、と気軽に覗いたら小判ほどもある大きなタガメを油に揚げて売っているのであった。
タガメは日本の田んぼにもいるので、都会育ちの私でも、父の故郷である岡山の田んぼで何度も見たことがあったのだが、大きくてもゴキブリさいず。
赤ん坊の靴ほどもあるようなサイズのタガメを見たのは初めてだったし、ましてや、それを油で揚げて食べるなんてことは想像だにできなかった。
偶然にも、この揚げタガメを見た翌日の朝、何気なくテレビを見ていたらタガメを捕まえるところを放送していた。
子供向けの教育番組みたいだったのだが、やはり屋台で油で揚げるシーンと食べるシーンが出てきて、
「アローイ（＝タイ語で美味しい）」
などと言っていたので衝撃を受けたことが初期のタイ旅行での思い出となって記憶に残っている。

かように人類は様々な食物を食べている。
ナマコ、巻貝、二枚貝、あんこうなどの深海魚、キノコ、などなど。
こういうものを最初に食べた人は勇気ある、と思ったことは一度や二度ではない。
なぜその生物や植物が食べられるのか。
なぜ調理すれば美味しくなるのか。
どうして人類は、そんなややこしいことがわかったのか。
謎なのであった。

フェルべ・フェルナンデス・アルベルコ著、小田切勝子訳「食べる人類誌　_火の発見からファーストフードの蔓延まで」（早川書房）はそんな疑問に対する解答について書かれた一冊だ。

時の曙以来、人々が食事というものとどのように向かい合ってきたのか。
農耕民族と牧畜民族の関わりあい。
カニバリズムの深い意味合い。
調理の歴史。
などなど。
私にとって意外に面白かったのは人類は農耕をはじめる前も比較的容易に食物を確保していたらしいという話だ。
季節に応じて一族を食べさせるだけの色物がちゃんと大地から確保されるシステムが存在していた。
暖かくなれが季節の植物が芽生え、実をつける。
動物は必要な分だけを狩りすれば、胃袋を十分に満たしてくれた。
農耕を始めたことで、人々はあくせく働かなくてはならなくなったし、貧富の差も生じてしまった、ということらしい。

確かに言われてみれば、農耕を始める前と始めた後の人類の歴史を比較すれば、前者のほうが圧倒的に長いわけで、それでも人類は連綿と続いていたわけだ。
農耕は時折発生する食に対する危機感。
例えば冷害、干ばつなどによる食物の不足による飢えが、恒常的に自主的に作物を確保できる農業を生み出したのだろう。

かなり長大なノンフィクションだったが、食べることの大好きな人は、一読すると食事の見方が代わって面白いかもわからない一冊なのであった。
