さあ〜て、どんな結果になるのでしょうか？

私は、維新の会、立憲民主党、自民党の横浜駅西口の街頭演説の模様をスマホで撮りました。

So, what will be the result?

I filmed the speeches of the Restoration Association (Matsuzawa candidate), the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (Mizuno Motoko = space mother) and the LDP (Asao and Katayama candidates) at the west exit of Yokohama Station with my smartphone.

It's hot outside😵.

外は暑い😵

若い男性看護師さんの採血は、私にとって普通の災難でした。

私の髪の毛が伸びてきたので、行きつけの理容室に立ち寄りました。店主や2人の女性理髪師、1人の男性理髪師ではなく、初めて見る若い男性理髪師が、私の担当でした。

私は嫌な予感はありましたが、これも彼の成長に役立てばいいと思いました。しかし、私の意に反して、彼はとても上手に理髪してくれました。

というわけで、本日、私のちょい飲みはキリン生搾りレモンサワーを飲みながら、厚揚げ・さつま揚げ・こんにゃく炒めを美味しくいただきました。

The young male nurse taking my blood was a regular disaster for me.

My hair was growing long, so I stopped at my favourite barbershop. 

Instead of the owner, two female barbers and one male barber, a young male barbers, whom I had never seen before, was in charge of me.

I had a bad feeling about this, but I hoped it would also help him grow. However, against my will, he barbered me very well.

So today, my little drink of the day was a delicious thick fried bean curd, satsuma-age and konnyaku stir-fry while drinking Kirin Nama Shibori Lemon Sour.

なんだ、この肌寒さは！

蒸し暑いので、せっかく部屋着は短パンにしたのに！

テレビ朝日のモーニングショー天気予報をみていたら、横浜市よりも札幌市の気温が高いという。変な気候だなぁ。

What's with the chilly weather!

It's so hot and humid that I've gone to the trouble of wearing shorts in my loungewear!

I was watching TV Asahi's morning show weather forecast and saw that the temperature in Sapporo is higher than in Yokohama. It's a strange climate, isn't it?

本日は沖縄慰霊の日です。

日本唯一の地上戦で、犠牲になった人たちを想い、世界の平和を祈念いたします。

沖縄に関するテレビ番組では、先日、深夜の再放送でNHK「ファミリーヒストリー」を見ました。

番組の副題は「北村一輝〜沖縄のルーツ 士族の誇りを受け継いで〜」です。

彼の母方の祖父母は沖縄生まれで、今回の番組取材で一族が、英雄と呼ばれる15世紀の豪族・護佐丸とつながる可能性が紹介されていました。

私は、北村一輝さんで一番印象に残っているのが「テルマエロマエ」です。

これからもファンとして、彼の活躍を応援していきたいと思います。

Today is Okinawa Memorial Day.

We remember the victims of Japan's only ground war and pray for world peace.

As for TV programmes on Okinawa, the other day I watched NHK's 'Family History' in a late-night re-run.

The subtitle of the programme was "Kazuki Kitamura - Okinawa's Roots - Inheriting the Pride of the Shizoku".

His maternal grandparents were born in Okinawa, and the interview for this programme introduced the possibility that the family may be linked to Gosamaru, a powerful 15th century family known as heroes.

I was most impressed by Kazuki Kitamura in Thermae Romae.

As a fan, I will continue to support his activities.

先日、妻が間引きにんじんの葉っぱを天ぷらにしてくれました。

茨城県の友人からいただき、「天ぷらにするといいよ」といわれましたが、私は天ぷらを揚げることが苦手です。

私が作った間引きにんじんと大根のピクルスは、白いお皿に盛ってみると、さらに美味しく感じました。クラッカーとクリームチーズでお酒を飲むのも、私は大好きです。

The other day, my wife made tempura from thinned carrot leaves. A friend from Ibaraki Prefecture gave them to me and told me that I should make them into tempura, but I am not very good at frying tempura.

My pickles of thinned carrots and radish tasted even better when I served them on a white plate. 

I also love to have a drink with crackers and cream cheese.

私たちが、6月1日に自費出版した「専売公社合理化の歴史と総括」（佐藤惟恭著、編集委員会発行）について、本日、国会図書館に納本しました。

私は、納本にあたって分からないことがあったので、国会図書館に電話し詳しくお聞きしました。100部以上の発行、製本されている、無料の納本、個人情報保護に配慮されていること、などの納本受付条件をすべてクリアしました。

ついでなので、友人たちと自費出版した同人誌「現代の解読」を国会図書館データで検索してみました。友人が納本しておいた2点（「現代の解読第5号」と斉藤美彦著「日めくりのカレンダー」）が閲覧できるように保管されていました。

私は、このサービスを今後とも利用していきたいと、改めて思いました。

The book "History and Summary of the Rationalisation of the Monopoly Corporation" (written by Koreharu Sato and published by the Editorial Board), which we self-published on 1 June, was delivered to the National Diet Library today.

I called the National Diet Library and asked them for more information about the book, which met all the conditions for acceptance: the book had to be published in more than 100 copies, it had to be bound, it had to be delivered free of charge, and it had to be protected to protect personal information.

By the way, I searched the National Diet Library data for the coterie magazine "Modern Deciphering", which we self-published with my friends. Two items that my friends had delivered to me ('Contemporary Deciphering No. 5' and 'Calendar of the Day' by Yoshihiko Saito) were stored for viewing.

I was reminded once again that I would like to continue to use this service.

今日、私は血液検査の採血をしました。

いつも左腕ですが、私の血管が細いらしく、10回に1回ほど採血のやり直しになります。

それでも看護師さんは、採血をきちんとやり遂げてくれました。

今回は、若い男性看護師さんでした。一度目を失敗し、注射器を換え、2度目も駄目でした。

私は「違う看護師さんに替えてくれ」と言うのをグッとこらえていたら、彼は「申し訳ありません。手先がしびれないですか？違う人に代わってもらいます」と恐縮していました。

代わった女性看護師さんは、採血を左腕から右腕に換え、鮮やかな手さばきで私の採血を終えました。彼と彼女の違いは「ためらわない」ことの差にあると思いました。

また、私が彼の採血失敗を見ていたとき、「2回目も失敗するだろう。痛いけれども、彼の練習台になれば、それでいいじゃないか」と思えた私自身を褒めてやりたい。

ちなみに、HbA1cは9.3から8.1に改善してきました。3ヶ月前は10を超えていましたので、とても良い傾向です。

Today I had a blood sample taken for a blood test.

It is always my left arm, but my blood vessels seem to be very thin and I have to redo the blood draw about once every ten times.

Nevertheless, the nurse managed to complete the blood sample.

This time it was a young male nurse. He failed the first time, changed the syringe, and the second time was no better.

I was gruffly trying to tell him to switch to a different nurse, and he said, 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Are your fingers numb? I'll get someone different to replace you", He was afraid.

The female nurse who took over switched the blood collection from my left arm to my right arm and finished my blood collection with a brilliant technic. 

I thought the difference between him and her was in the difference of 'not hesitating'.

When I watched him fail to draw my blood, I think "He will fail the second time too. It hurts, but if I can be a training ground for him, that's all the better".

Incidentally, my HbA1c has improved from 9.3 to 8.1, which is a very good trend as three months ago it was over 10.

本日、私たちの夕飯を兼ねたちょい飲みはやきとり「ばんきち」で、生ビールを飲みながらとり皮、つくね、豚バラ、レバー、手羽先、とり皮ポン酢などを美味しくいただきました。

そして、ライス🍚大盛りもオーダーし、焼き鳥のタレをかけて食べました。いと、うまし！

Today, our dinner drinking party was at Yakitori 'Bankichi', where we drank draft beer and enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken skin, tsukune, pork belly, liver, chicken wings and torikawa ponzu (chicken skin ponzu).

We also ordered a large portion of rice🍚 and ate it with yakitori sauce. Very tasty!

本日、私たちのちょい飲みは「はなの舞」大井町店で、ハイボール、レモンサワー、台湾レモンサワー、泡盛などを飲みながら、アジフライ、大根の酢漬け、豚肉と野菜炒め、焼きそばなどを美味しくいただきました。

メニューを持ってくるのは、スタッフではなくロボットでした。近頃、このロボットを導入するお店が増えましたね。

Today, our little drink was at Hana-no-Mai Oimachi, where we drank highballs, lemon sours, Taiwanese lemon sours and awamori while enjoying delicious fried horse mackerel, pickled radish, stir-fried pork and vegetables and yakisoba noodles.

The menu was brought to us by a robot, not a staff member. 

More and more restaurants are introducing these robots these days.
