テレビ東京「孤独のグルメ」再放送を見ていたら、食後の一服をしている井之頭五郎の表情が、とても懐かしく共感を覚えました

あのような景色が、事実として普通にあったのですね

お店は、横浜・日の出町の「第一亭」でした

When I was watching a rebroadcast of TV Tokyo's "Kodoku no Gourmet," I felt nostalgic sympathy for the look on Goro Inogashira's face as he enjoyed an after-dinner cigarette.

Scenes like that were actually common.

The store was Daiichi-tei in Hinodecho, Yokohama.

渋谷のヒカリエ内喫煙所とモアイ像横の喫煙所を比較してみました。

前者は清潔感に満ち、床もピカピカでした。対して、後者は壁や床も薄汚れている感じがして、喫煙所全体をリニューアルして欲しいと思いました。

I compared the smoking area in Hikarie in Shibuya to the smoking area next to the Moai statue.

The former was clean and the floor was shiny. In contrast, the walls and floor of the latter seemed dingy and dirty, and I wished the entire smoking area would be renewed.

上大岡駅ビル内の喫煙所はどこにあるのだろう？

と分からないまま、しゃぶ葉でのブランチを終え、駅方面に歩いていたら、ビルの片隅にひっそりと喫煙所がありました。

Not knowing what to expect, I finished my brunch at Shabu-Yoh and was walking towards the station.

スマホ画面から交換券のバーコードを提示すると、コンビニスタッフから「銘柄はどれにしますか？」と聞かれました。

「メビウスOne100'S」と答え、すぐにたばこをいただけました。とても得した気分になりました。

When I presented the barcode on the redemption ticket from my phone screen, the convenience store staff asked me, "Which brand would you like?" I was asked.

I answered "MEVIUS One 100's" and immediately received my cigarettes. I felt very fortunate.

本日、私の喫煙所レポートは、川崎モアーズ7階と焼肉キング川崎駅東口店です。

モアーズでは、4人定員でしたが、3人いたところに若いカップルが入ってきました。

私の右に、それまでパチンコをしていたという老人が、2人に「ここは4人までだぞ」と注意したのです。

そうは言っても、3人のうちの1人が出て行ったので、改めて入ってきた若いカップル（男性はマスクなし）に、「マスクは自己判断になったけど、また（コロナが）増えるかもね」などと優しく話しかけていました。

老人が出ていったあと、私と2人が顔を見合わせ、ジェスチャーしながら「ワォー」と小さくつぶやきました。（結局、その中途半端は説教老人は心底さびしい人なのだ、と私は思ったのです）

一方、焼肉キングの喫煙所は、床だけが茶色であとは真っ黒に塗りつぶされていました。初めから煙で汚れることを前提にした配色なのですね。

Today, my smoking area reports are for Kawasaki Moors 7th floor and Yakiniku King Kawasaki Station East Exit.

At Moores, the capacity was for four people, but a young couple came in where there were three.

To my right, an elderly man, who had previously been playing pachinko, warned them, "You can only have four people here."

Even so, one of the three people left, and I gently spoke to the young couple (the man without a mask) who came in again, saying something like, "Masks are now self-imposed, but there may be more of them."

After the old man left, the two and I looked at each other, gestured, and mumbled a small "wow".

On the other hand, the smoking area at Yakiniku King was painted brown only on the floor and the rest was black. The color scheme was designed from the beginning to be dirty with smoke.

その後に分かったのですが、灰皿と思っていたものは小学生たちが利用する黄色い手旗を出し入れする器具でした。（2022.11.22）

私は、飲食店に入って喫煙所があれば、立ち寄りついでに写真を撮っています。ずっと続けているので、喫煙環境の変化がよく分かります。

今回は、「目ききの銀次」調布店です。男性スタッフに喫煙所の場所を聞き、広い店内の奥を右に曲がった角にありました。

最近の喫煙所は定員制になっており、ここも2名です。調布たづくり文化会館および周辺、駅前まで禁煙でしたから、飲食店内に喫煙所があると、私はホッとします。

ゴルフ練習場の喫煙所も2名ですが、満室の場合、私は外のパター練習場入口にスタンド灰皿を利用しています。

If I go into a restaurant and there is a smoking area, I stop by and take a picture while I am there. I have been doing this for a long time, so I can see how the smoking environment has changed.

This time, it was at the "Mekiki no Ginji" Chofu restaurant. I asked the male staff where the smoking area was, and found it at the back of the spacious restaurant on the corner to the right.

Smoking areas these days have a capacity system, and here too there are two people. Smoking was prohibited in and around the Chofu Tazukuri Cultural Centre and even in front of the station, so I was relieved when there was a smoking area inside the restaurant.

The smoking area at the driving range we go to also has a two-person capacity, but if it is full, I use the ashtray outside at the entrance to the putting range.

2022年6月時点（土曜日）の下北沢駅前の喫煙環境は、広場中央にコンテナ型喫煙室と広めの喫煙所があります。

入口横ではiQOSのテントが仮説され、iQOS本体の販売と周辺の清掃活動をしていました。

また、広場から路地を右に行くと佐野たばこ店があり、そこでもiQOSの販売促進活動が行われていました。

日本における加熱式たばこシェアNo.1のiQOSは、人出が多く、目につく場所で、清掃活動と合わせたとりくみに、油断なく人・物・金・時間を惜しみなく投入しているのですね。

私はPloomXのファンですが、iQOSの活動については常日頃から感心しています。

As of 2022 June (Saturday), the smoking environment in front of Shimokitazawa Station includes a container-type smoking room and a spacious smoking area in the centre of the square.

Next to the entrance, an iQOS tent was hypothesised and two staff members were selling iQOS units and cleaning up the area.

Also, an alleyway to the right from the square leads to the Sano Tobacco Shop, where iQOS sales promotion activities were also taking place.

iQOS, which has the largest share of heated cigarettes in Japan, is a company that is constantly investing people, goods, money and time in clean-up activities and other activities in highly visible places where there are many people.

I am a PloomX fan, but I am always impressed by iQOS' activities.
