・accused ～ me of …： …のかどで～を非難する （/責める）
・clock-watcher： 終業時刻ばかり氣にして仕事をしない怠惰な勤め人（勉強しない怠け者の學生にも使ひます）
「Dithers社長が、今日仕事中に終業時刻ばかり氣にして仕事をしないつてぼくを責めたんだ」
2 Can you believe that?
「信じられるかい？」
3 Not only that, but he did it every seven minutes, right on the dot!
・every ～： ～毎に
・on the dot： 時間どほりに / 時間きつかりに
・right： on the dot を強調してゐます。
「そればかりぢやなく、社長は7分おきに、時間きつかりにぼくを責めたんだ！」
【ユーモア】
・絶えず時間を氣にする Dagwood も Dagwood ですが、社長も負けてはゐません。「どつちもどつち」といふことになり、奧さんが呆れます。
・「極端さ」で笑ひを誘ふ手法です。
