・go on： 「續く」

・現在完了進行形： 動作を表はす動詞について、それが過去から繼續してゐて、現在もなほそれが繼續中であることを示します。

・or so： （數量のあとに用ゐて）「か、そのくらゐ」

・at (the) least： 「少くとも」

・should： 「～すべきだ」「～するはうが良い」など、義務や當然の行動を表はします。日本語の「べき」ほどの強い意味はありませんが、この漫畫では、何かと強壓的な Dithers 社長が口にしてゐますのでやや強めの和譯にしてゐます。

・條件節に should が用ゐられるのは、「實現する可能性がそれほど高くないと話し手が思つてゐる」場合です。「～するやうなことがあれば「～するやうなことになれば」などと解します。歸結節で假定法のほか直説法や命令法が使はれることがあるのも、それほど高くないとしても實現する可能性があると考へられてゐるからでせう。Michael Swan は We can suggest that something is unlikely, or not particularly probable, by using should (not would) in the if-clause. と記し、また If ... happen to has a similar meaning. とも記してゐます。(Michael Swan, Practical English Usage. 3^rd ed. [Oxford： Oxford University Press, 2005], p. 237.)

  條件節に should が用ゐられる文體については、文法書では「假定法」や「助動詞」の章に解説や例文が見つかります。拙稿では「假定法の讀み方 (12) 」（2011年7月6日付）に例文があります。倒置の例は「英文讀解のヒント（2） 」（2014年4月23日付）」で觸れてゐますが、この歌詞の Should we part は If we should part とほぼ同意です。（※下線部をクリックするか、ブログ右の Back Numbers で月・年をクリックし、Calendar で日付をクリックして御覧ください）

・one に「たとへひとつであれ」「ひとつでも」といつた讓歩の意味がかもされてゐるやうに思ひます。
