・BUSINESS LICENSES： 窓口の掲示です。許認可の表示はよく見かけますが、business license そのものは日本には無いやうで、譯語に困りました。「事業許可證」としてみましたが、他に「事業認可證」「事業免許證」なども考へられさうです。

・I’ve already been to all those floors： 「それらの階はみな既に行つてきたところなんです」。have been to～ は「～へ行つてきたところだ」と動作・出來事の完了を表はす場合と「～へ行つたことある」と經驗を表はす場合があります。ここは前者でせう。（※ He has been to Harvard. などと言ふときは出身校を表はしてゐます）
・See?： 「ね？」「私の言ふことがわかりますか？」
・Pinellas County： ピネラス郡。實在の郡名（Florida 州にある）ですが、漫畫では虚構の扱ひではないでせうか。

・up there： 「あそこに」「向うに」「天國で」

・I can’t say： 「何とも言へませんね」。隱し事を明らかにしたくないとき、意見を言ふほどでもないと判斷したときなどに使はれます。
・Nobody has ever come ...： 「これまで誰も戻つてきたことはない」。現在完了形です。

[笑ひのポイント]
・business license 取得の手續が繁雜で難しいことを諷刺してゐるのでせうか。 Blondie は caterer として起業しようとしてゐます。食品を扱ふので手續もそれなりに煩瑣なのかもしれません。
The Beatles 1965年のアルバム Help! に收められてゐた曲 I’ve Just Seen a Face には現在完了形がいくつか使はれてゐます。（※カッコ内は拙譯）
