* Linguistic insights into professional communication
* Translation theory and translation didactics: their roles in communication
Conference format

Translation studies
* Types of presentation: talk (20 minutes), workshop (45minutes)
* Working languages: English, French, German and Romanian
Conference Proceedings: Selected papers will be published in the volume of conference proceedings (Languages of publication: English, French, German)

Call for papers
MonTI 1:1 (January, 2008)
The Universities of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón have set up a new international journal on translation: MonTI (Monographs in Translation and Interpreting). What makes this journal different is that each issue (which will come out every six months) will be devoted to one single topic, analysing it in depth and trying to open new and critical debates. Each issue will be an independent book and will have a defined and homogeneous identity.
The essays can be written in English, Spanish, French, German or Catalan. MonTI will be published first in book format and, after a six-month interval, in electronic format.
