勇払郡厚真町の富野小学校で出前授業。富野小の全児童数は１０名。お隣の軽舞小は、１６名。合わせて２６名（１年から６年生まで）の皆さんと一緒に、顕微鏡観察や寒天培地を用いて培養実験を通して、池の水や土の中の微生物、空気中に漂う微生物、口の中や手にいる微生物、南極の氷河に出てくる微生物（藻類）、そして、雪の中の微生物について学びました。<o:p></o:p>

勇払の原野で育っている小学生たちと楽しい時間を過ごし、何だか、私の方が元気になりました。<o:p></o:p>

富野小も軽舞小も、来年度いっぱいで長い歴史を閉じるとのこと。つたないものでしたが、私の授業がそれぞれの小学校での思い出の一つになってくれたら、望外の喜びです。また、科学の楽しみを少しでも感じてくれたら、と願っております。<o:p></o:p>

オホーツク海沿いの興部（おこっぺ）町富丘小と豊野小、道南日本海沿いの上ノ国町早川小、そして厚真町の小学校。さてさて、次はどこでしょう？ 日程が合えば、北海道内のどこでも参ります。<o:p></o:p>
