林の中。空気中をゆらゆら漂う微生物。肉眼では見えないのだが、どんな微生物がいるのだろう？<o:p></o:p>

そこで実験。低温研玄関前の林のなかに、寒天栄養培地を３０分間置いてみた。<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> 
２８℃で、ほんの１日間培養しただけで微生物コロニー（集落）が出現。これらの中には、発酵で「うまみ」を作り出すものもいれば、腐敗のもとになるものもいるに違いない。私たちはこれらの微生物をどれくらい知っているのであろう？生態系での役割はどうなっているのであろう？
それらの役割を解明するのも良いかもしれない。
