故郷で爆買い恩返し！というテレビ番組を見ています。
そこで、俳優の八嶋智人さんの故郷・奈良県の若草山焼き（野焼き）が話題になっていました。
野焼きといえば、私の故郷（福島県東白川郡塙町）では何と言っていたのだろう？と考えてみました。
パッと私が思い出した言葉は「土手やぎり」でした。
山を焼くのは、共有山（茅山）を焼く時だけで、一般的には稲刈りを終えた田んぼの土手を焼く（方言で「やぎる」）ことから、「土手やぎり」になったものと思われます。

Speaking of wild burning, what was it called in my hometown (Hanawa Town, Higashishirakawa County, Fukushima Prefecture)? I thought about it.
The word that popped into my head was "Dote Yagiri."
The word "doji yagiri" is thought to have come from the fact that people generally burn (yagiru in dialect) the banks of rice paddies after the rice harvest is finished.
