■翻訳研究論文集の原稿が出そろった。あとは細かい修正をして通しページを入れ、表紙、目次、まえがきをつけて印刷所に入れるだけだ。最後のまえがきに手間取っている。年内に出るかどうかはわからないが、期待して待つように。
■来週になると修士論文関連で忙しくなるので今の内に新刊を紹介しておこう。
田辺希久子・光藤京子『Practical Skills for Better Translation 英日日英翻訳実践トレーニング』（マクミラン・ランゲージハウス）
ベテラン翻訳者によるニュース、小説、字幕、絵本、Eメール、スピーチなど様々な素材を使った翻訳のテキスト。考えてみればこういう翻訳テキストはこれまでなかったのだ。たんに問題と答を並べたテキストではなく、こうすればうまくいくという実践的なヒントを盛り込んでいる。中級編、上級編も欲しいところだ。筆者は2人とも日本通訳学会の会員だ。
