大野池は、工学部とファカルティハウス・エンレイソウの間に位置する。北大キャンパスの中でも、学生や教職員にとって憩いの場の一つであり、四季折々を感じられるスポットでもある。

 

このところの春の陽気で大野池に降り積もった雪が融解し始めている。そして、積雪表面が赤褐色に変化。どうして、雪の色が変化するのであろうか？
