ご存じ、エサシトモコ先生の手による、ユニークなコスプレ猫。あんこ猫。
先生は顔がでかいことを特徴としているようだが、たぶん、初めて観る人には、猫の目力に強い印象を覚えるのじゃないだろうか。
その目力をあえて隠す。あんこ猫をシルエットで、しかも後ろ姿で撮ることにより写真的レトリックを施す。見えないことによるドラマ性を感じさせる意図だ。
アート作品をモチーフにした写真は、ついついその写真の世界に入り込んでしまいそうになってしまう。
・・・多くの言葉よりも1枚の写真のほうが伝わることもある。
どこかノスタルジーを感じる夏の景色を感じていただけたら幸いです。

Oshima is an active volcano located on the northern tip of the Izu-Bonin volcanic arc. Oshima erupts very frequently, on average every 1-3 years, but has been quiet since 1990, which is an unusual long interval compared to its activity in historic times.
Eruptions at Oshima volcano occur from both summit and flank vents and its lavas are relatively fluid. The eruptions often produce lava fountains, strombolian activity, lava flows and the formation of lava lakes.
The volcano is not ble for its strombolian eruptions, but it also has experienced phreatomagmatic explosions. The eruptions between 1552 and
1974 occurred at the Miharayama crater or the bottom of the surrounding caldera, but the 1986 eruption ocurred inside the Miharayama crater and at the fissure craters in the caldera bottom and outsid of the calderarim. Precursors for the eruption, such as ground deformation, earth quakes and tremors, geomagnetism, resistivity, and gravity changes have been observed. The volcano, composed mainly of basalt, is between 49.5 and 58.0 wt%..

ポテトチップス The スナックワールド チャップのケチャップ味。
チャップってなんかのキャラクターの名前らしい。さて、カナダでは普通のケチャップ味のポテトチップス。
「ハンバーガーというものは、ケチャップをかけて食べるための「台」のようなものであり、ハンバーガーを食べるときの主たる目的は、ケチャップのボトルを何度も手にとっては、ドロリとケチャップをかけ、そのケチャップを楽しみ食べることにある」
と「紙のプールで泳ぐ」（新潮社／1988年）で片岡義男が書いていたように、
”ぼくならケチャップはハインツ”。
ポテトチップスとケチャップの絶妙なコラボと、そこまでは行かないけど、 コンソメ味のポテチにちょっとトマト感がある感じ。
ポテチにケチャップにつける手間が省ける分、いいんじゃね？

大島はもとより、島外の人達にも愛されるお寿司屋さん。
いつも満席で、食事ができたためしがなかった。
この日は、ランチオープンの2回転目、13：00ぐらいに店から「空きができた」旨の電話をもらっての入店。
ランチの人気はご当地「べっこう寿司」と「地さかな」のにぎり。
カンパチ、カワハギ、イサキ、カツオ、ヤリイカ、アジ、クロムツなど、 地魚だらけで9貫盛り。
大きなお碗に伊勢えびの味噌汁。上品さよりごはんのお供を意識した、しっかり味。日ごろ食べなれてないものだから、周りも気にせずしゃぶりつき。
伊勢エビの豪華な味に感動しながら、ミソの旨味が溶けでた汁を堪能。

Summer in Oshima island is so exciting. and the down-town of the land is enveloped in an array of colors and boisterous sounds. I love that sounds, sights and smells of the take-out foods at Japanese summer festivals.
One of signature summer event is fireworks displays. Enjoying fireworks or summer festivals with local people wearing yukata will definitely become an unforgettable memory in our life. Enjoy summer in Japan to the fullest.
