月曜日、私の炊事当番はきゅうり🥒とナス🍆の浅漬け、麻婆茄子、お粥、もやしとワカメのあえもの、サンドイッチ、日清「これ、絶対うまいやつ」で、赤ワインと缶ビールを美味しくいただきました

Monday, my cooking duty included pickled cucumber🥒 and eggplant🍆, fried eggplant with hot red pepper, rice porridge, boiled bean sprouts and wakame seaweed, sandwiches, Nissin "This is definitely good stuff", and a nice glass of red wine and canned beer!

【一期一会】

新宿〜横浜まで、湘南新宿ライナーに乗車し、私たち2人は空席がなく立っていました

まず手前の席の女性が席を譲ってくれ、77歳の河野さんが座りました。

そしたら、私の手前の青年が私に「最寄り駅で降りますので、どうぞお座りください」と席を譲ってくれました

そこで、自然発生的に、私たち3人のコミュニケーションがスタートしたのです

そのうち、私の右手のお客さんが下車したので、私が席を詰め、席を譲ってくれた青年に座ってもらい、コミニュケーションがさらに深化していきました

私は彼に「祖父母と仲良しでしょう？」と問いかけたら、「同居しいます」と答えました

ますます会話が弾み、23歳の青年に私の名刺を手渡しました

あれ、彼は「最寄り駅が近い」と言っていたのに、なかなか下車しないので、「どこで降りるの？」と聞いたら「戸塚です」と言うのです

私たち（横浜）より遠いのに、ためらいながら席を譲ってくれた彼の心構えに、私は日本の将来は暗くない、老人は「老いては子に従え」ば、悲観的になることなど、まったくないと確信しました

私は同じ横浜在住の知り合いが、また1人増えたことに喜びを覚えたのです

One life time encounter.

We boarded the Shonan Shinjuku Liner from Shinjuku to Yokohama, and the two of us stood there with no empty seats!

First, the woman in front of me gave up her seat, and 77-year-old Mr. Kono sat down.

Then, the young man in front of me offered me his seat, saying, "I will get off at the nearest station, so please have a seat.

So spontaneously, communication between the three of us began!

Eventually, the customer to my right got off, so I packed up my seat and asked the young man who had given up his seat to sit down, and our comminication deepened even more!

I asked him, "You are close with your grandparents, aren't you?" He replied, "I live with them."

We got more and more conversational, and I handed the 23-year-old my business card.

He said, "The nearest station is near here," but he didn't get off the train. I asked him where he was getting off, and he said, "Totsuka."

He hesitantly gave up his seat, even though it was farther away from us (Yokohama), and this made me believe that the future of Japan was not so bleak, and that old people should "follow their children" and not be pessimistic at all!

I was delighted to have another acquaintance living in Yokohama!

The closing speaker was Director Takahara, former head of the Kanagawa Branch of the Toyo University Alumni Association and former head of Toyo University's cheering squad!

Well, the Kanagawa Branch is full of actors!

先日のEテレ「スィッチインタビュー」に、私はホロリとさせられました

対談は「peko✖︎平野啓一郎」で、お二人の真摯な姿勢と表情、一つ一つの言葉にこころ打たれました

The otherday's "Switch Interview" on E-telephony made my heart warm and fuzzy!

The interview was with "peko✖︎ Hirano Keiichiro," and I was struck by their sincere attitudes and expressions, and their every word!

本日、私たち東洋大学校友会神奈川県支部は21名で、慶応義塾大学三田キャンパスに乗り込みました

慶応義塾大学演説館、諭吉像の前などで集合写真を撮りました

そして、慶応義塾大学にあって東洋大学にないものは何か？について、感覚的に感じ取ることができました

慶応義塾大学三田キャンパス内に、東洋大学の旗を立ててきました

来年は、東洋大学校友会と慶応義塾大学三田会の交流ができれば良いなぁ、と思います

桃の花は盛りを過ぎ、ミツマタは満開だ

石垣の隙間に野いちごの花が咲いている

No sign of blooming cherry blossoms 🌸 in Shiba Park

The cold weather continues.

Snow willows are in full bloom, swaying in the wind.

The peach blossoms are past their prime, but the Japanese honeysuckle is in full bloom.

Wild strawberry flowers are blooming in the gaps between the stone walls.

午前中、私は芝公園近くで開かれた株主総会に出席し、ランチは山食で390円なカレー🍛を食べました

午後、OB会のお手伝いして、買い物をして帰宅してからの炊事当番では、クリームシチューを作りました

家族が帰宅する前に、私はごま団子🍡とクリームシチューを食べながら、部屋を暖かくして缶ビールを飲みました

In the morning, I attended a shareholders' meeting held near Shiba Park and then had a 390 yen curry 🍛 at Yamashoku for lunch.

In the afternoon, I helped out at an alumni meeting, did some shopping, and then went home to do my cooking duty.

Before my family came home, I warmed up the room and drank a can of beer while eating black sesame dumplings 🍡 and cream stew!

OB会のお手伝いとちょい飲みを終え、帰路、気温が下がり寒気がしてきました

そこで、私は慶応大学インフォメーションプラザに立ち寄り、マフラーは高額だったのでスポーツタオルを買って、首に巻いて帰りました

慶応カラーがカッコいいですね

ちなみに、ランチは愛妻弁当でした

After helping out at the alumni association and having a few drinks, I was on my way home when the temperature dropped and I started to feel a chill!

So I stopped by the Keio University Information Plaza and bought a sports towel to wrap around my neck since scarves were too expensive.

The Keio colors are so cool!

By the way, lunch was a love-wife bento!
