昨年末、大井町の老舗洋食屋「ブルドッグ」さんへ伺った翌日、友人女子（東洋大学同学年）から電話がありました。
「私、小説家になったの。本名で検索すれば出てくるわよ。たくさん書いたけど、オススメの本は2冊。でもね絶版になってるから、アマゾンの古本で買ってね。それから、たばこもやめたのよ」ということでした。
そこで、先週の日曜日アマゾンで注文しました。昨日、郵便受けに届いていましたが、私はまだ「読書モード」になりそうもなく、それを待って読ませていただこうと思います。
At the end of last year, the day after I visited Bulldog, a long-established Western-style restaurant in Oimachi, I received a phone call from a female friend.
「私、小説家になったの。本名で検索すれば出てくるわよ。たくさん書いたけど、オススメの本は2冊。でもね絶版になってるから、アマゾンの古本で買ってね。それから、たばこもやめたのよ」ということでした。
She said, "I'm a novelist now. Just search under my real name and you'll find me." And she let me know.
She added, "I wrote a lot, but I recommend two books. They are out of print, though, so you can buy them used on Amazon."
He recommended the two books in the picture.
She also said, "I quit smoking cigarettes."
そこで、先週の日曜日アマゾンで注文しました。昨日、郵便受けに届いていましたが、私はまだ「読書モード」になりそうもなく、それを待って読ませていただこうと思います。
So I ordered it from Amazon last Sunday.
It arrived in my mailbox yesterday, but I am not going to be in "reading mode" yet, so I will wait for that to happen and read it.
