I have succeeded in preventing myself from smoking for eight years and
two hundred and ninety-one days in a row.

I intentionally didn't do push-ups yesterday due mainly to the low back
pain I got when I got up from my bed.
And I hope to resume them as soon as possible because I've felt that the
pain has completely gone now.
By the way, isn't it abnormal that the predicted highest temperature today
is 31 degrees?
Which means I think it is abnormally hot for late September.
