北海道大学で実施している「国際南極大学カリキュラム」（青木茂さんと杉山慎さんが担当）。その実習の一つである「スイスアルプス氷河実習」（杉山慎さんが責任教員）が今日から始まる。
夕方、新千歳空港に集合。ドバイ経由でスイス入りする。
今年は、時の人である平川一臣先生が引率教員として参加。随分と豪華な実習である。実習に参加する院生の皆さんには多くのことを平川先生から吸収してもらいたい。
