ジュネーブは沸騰しそうな暑さ。蒸発し続ける体内水分。休憩の度に補給するミネラルウォーター。
２日目の基調講演は、マックスプランク海洋微生物学研究所のRudolf Amannさん。演題は下記の通り。
『Small microbes, Big oceans, and Global element cycling』
彼の講演はいつもエクセレント。今回のキーワードのひとつは、「FISH to -OMICS」。研究室の人たちには、その真意が良く理解できるはず。
夜１０時を過ぎても明るい。夏至を祝う懇親会『Midsummer’s Night Party』。暑くて、熱いが、時より吹く風はさわやか。
研究室メンバーのAさんもBさんも、初めての国際学会参加。極めて充実しているようだ。帰国後の参加報告書が楽しみ。
